02.28.06
I never realized how blind I really am. having lost a contact lens this morning, I had to make the trek home without visual aid. memory helped but potholes still came out of nowhere.

02.27.06
belmont and southport. one big hole.

02.26.06
bobbing jesus widget. upgraded to tiger over the weekend, must've tried out forty-something widgets. this is the most useful one—jesus bobs when your mouse rolls over.

02.25.06—alternate angle
lakefront path. the last good thought of the day.

02.25.06
guess I'm not going home that way.

02.24.06
a rather large sliver of wood(?) embedded in a bar of soap. hopefully it IS a sliver of wood, and not something strange that is connected to something even stranger—like a finger.

02.23.06
final boss fight—the empress of time waits as I, uhm, strategize. she tough.

02.22.06
booty from glascott's on halsted—the wednesday night $3 guinness specials came with collectible pint glasses. the next three weeks bring three more designs. I meant to take a group pic but forgot.

02.21.06
if all else fails, take a blurry pic of the train.

02.20.06
in an effort to prevent losing more bamboo to disease, we started changing the water regularly. today's too soon for a change, but I'll forget over the week. we also threw away the mossy, slimey decorative rocks.

02.19.06
chicago red line station. someone must've been watching me take this—I could just make out the lens aperture twitching.

02.18.06
staying inside today—we have a high of 8º F by the airport, who knows how cold it actually is where I live by the lake.

02.17.06
our office must be the last stop for the postman—he leaves these bins along with our mail on a daily basis. they'll be great for storing cleaning supplies and bike parts.

02.16.06
the pizza lounge on chicago and western—the first stop on ira cox's west-side, freezing-temperatures pub crawl.

02.15.06
dead mechanical watch. the large, yellow wheel in the back is normally spinning, keeping time—unless the watch isn't worn for 36 hours. kinda like a tamagochi.

02.14.06
5pm and it's bright, sunny, and 50º F out. caught me by surprise because I spent a hectic day in the color room (aka the closet). this was very exciting for me.

02.13.06
lakeshore path—the perennial view of a stoic bubbler.

02.12.06
the red blot is a half-eaten squirrel trying to wiggle itself free. at one point the bird wrapped its wings around the munchie in a Find-Your-Own-Food embrace, and I was like "don't worry, I'm not hungry".

02.11.06
micro-truing. I think I have a lateral tolerance of a third of a millimeter. the round is a different story—I couldn't get rid of a little hop on the rim.

02.10.06
salt, not snow.

02.09.06
clybourn avenue, my daily commute. a church in the heart of a deserted cabrini green.

02.08.06
the weather was neat... intense sunshine and dense snow showers took turns at the window.

02.07.06
yay.
who knew bike parts came in boxes?

02.06.06
a piece of sod leftover from a shoot. standiing water forms a bog underneath, and stinky wildflowers have begun to grow—but it looks cool.

02.05.06
a print by sam falbo gracing our wall. the wall could serve as rotating venue should he decide to complete a series of seasonal images. it is a good wall.

02.04.06
paintings by a mayi carles on display at d-vision on... uhm... division street. billie was redeeming her christmas present—a "coupon" for a pair of glasses.

02.03.06
just had to try it. novelty beverages like this have a marketing life-span of three months—just long enough to generate a buzz and get people to buy once. pre-meditated hit-and-run

02.02.06
lakefront path—crossing mason and dixon's line. crossing this bridge means making the commitment to ride to hyde park. at least I've never found a reason to turn back between here and there. it's like a bag of chips.

02.01.06
the red line train flying through the wellington station platform.
